This trek around Tsomoriri Lake is especially tailored for people who have only short holidays, and for people wishing to have a trekking experience at high altitude, around 4500 meters above sea level, with as much facilities as possible, including Himalayan yoga classes and foot massage.
The trip goes through the land of Changtang, the home of nomads originated from Tibet, centuries ago. They are moving with their yaks and goats. The long goat' hairs provide nice and warm clothes We will catch glances of this nomadic life belonging to ancient times but still alive in this remote region, close to Tibet. This region is mainly Buddhist. We will also admire the Himalayan wildlife: it is a sanctuary for many species of birds and mammals.
It takes four days for easily trekking 100 km around Tsomoriri Lake, the largest lake of Ladakh, at 4500 meters, surrounded by Himalayan peaks crowned by snow. This trek is perfect for beginners. It is a great and easy introduction to trekking in the Himalayas with daily classes of Himalayan yoga and yoga massage adapted to the trekkers by a French physiotherapist who has a great Himalayan experience: Eric Lon.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Delhi to Leh by air
The plane flies across the Himalayas and provides some panoramic views of the snow capped views. It is an amazing journey which starts. Buddhists may say it is an auspicious flight.
Landing at Leh, the capital of Ladakh: 3500 meters. Take it easy and breathe to acclimate yourself to this height. Transfer to the hotel and rest.
Eric Lon, a French medical masseur and a physiotherapist will start to teach you the best way to breathe with an easy yoga technique for a faster acclimatazing.
The first massage lesson will be about foot massage. Dinner and night at hotel.
Day 2: Leh: sightseeing
Take it easy to visit the capital and its surroundings in order to acclimate yourself. Eric Lon will be participating in the visit to provide breathing yoga exercises. You will discover the Kings, Palace and an ancient fort on the top of the highest hill. Learn to harmonize breathing and walking on a gentle way.

We can also visit TCV, a village organization which cares of the Tibetan' refugee's children. You can support them.Yoga class before diner and overnight in hotel.
Day 3: drive to Rumtse: 4000 meters
A nice drive along the Indus river, crossing small villages, seeing old monasteries. The road is spectacular with gorgeous landscapes: take photos.
We stop at Rumtse village for a better acclimatize with Himalayan yoga. The dinner is prepared by our cook, expert in various dishes, including continental food. Night in a guest house or in luxury tent.
Day 4: drive to Tsomoriri Lake via Tsokar Lake
The panoramic view is gorgeous all day long, including crossing Taklang pass, 5370 meters and Tsokar Salt Lake, which is a place for the Tibetan nomads. Arrival at Korzok, the highest village around Tsomoriri Lake. There is an astonishing view and a nice Buddhist monastery. Relax with Himalayan yoga and foot massage. Night in 2 people luxury tents.
Day 5 to day 8: trekking around Tsomoriri Lake: 4500 meters.
Trekking only at the same height is easier than crossing high passes.
Trekking hundred kilometers around Tsomoriri Lake is available for anybody who is fit, even if living all year round at sea level.
Looking at the wildlife is very interesting. Many rocks carved with Tibetan prayers are found along this easy four days' trek.
There are different kinds of landscapes dominated by the snow capped mountains.
Practicing Himalayan yoga exercises, with relaxing massage by evening will help you a lot.
This lake is holy for Buddhist but swimming is possible. Eric Lon is a certified swimming teacher in addition to be a sport teacher and a physiotherapist.
Day 9: drive back to Leh
Driving via Mehahi bridge, alongside the mythic Indus River, passing through many villages, we will discover different aspects of the local way of life.
Overnight at the hotel.
Day 10: flight back to Delhi. Julay.
Transfer to the airport. Astonishing flight across the Himalayas.
